Radcliffe Carnival 2018

Bury Fostering Team have been supporting Radcliffe Carnival for a number of years and we always look forward to taking part. This year it was held on Saturday 3rd June and luckily for us it stayed dry! We had our gazebo on Red Bank Field where we offered a free "Hook a Duck" game and gave out information about Fostering for Bury. We also took part in the parade which was great fun! See you there in 2018!

Prestwich Carnival 2018

Prestwich Carnival took place on Sunday 25th June and it was a great opportunity for us to showcase Fostering for Bury at a great community event. We really enjoy being part of the carnival each year. This year, we walked the parade with an Ad-Van which was a great opportunity to showcase the different options available with Fostering. It was great to meet some prospective applicants at the carnival who came over to find out more about Fostering with Bury.

Bury Pride

This year was the first ever Bury Pride event and we were delighted to support it. We embraced the colours of the LGBT rainbow with the clothes we wore and loved the fun, vibrant atmosphere of the parade. Bury are hoping that this is the first of many annual Pride events and we look forward to being part of the event next year.

Children Who Foster Group

We recognise the importance of birth children and grandchildren within the Fostering family. The "Children Who Foster" group meet bi-monthly and gives participants an opportunity to meet peers of similar age with similar experiences. We ask the group for their opinions on many aspects of Fostering. At one of the recent groups, we asked the children and young people to design posters to help with recruiting new households to Fostering - we are really impressed with the work they produced!
